  • How long do I have access to my course?

    You will have access to both the courses and the communities for as long as you are an active participant. Students inactive for more than 3 months will be removed. If you have been removed and would like to access the content again, please re-enroll.

  • Do I need an internet connection to access my content?

    Yes. The Bio-Rad Academy is a web platform, and you must have an internet connection to access the materials.

  • Can I access the video content from my mobile device?

    Most newer-model smartphones or other mobile/tablet devices with an internet connection are able to access the video content.

  • Can I download course content onto my computer?

    You can download anything that has the download icon (a bold arrow with the line directly below it). You cannot download video content.

  • Are the courses closed-caption?

    Yes, all the courses have English captions. We plan on adding other languages soon.

  • What if I have a question for my instructor or fellow student?

    When you sign up for a class, you will automatically have access to private topic-specific, online communities. These forums are a place to ask questions, see answers, and share ideas with Bio-Rad scientists and your peers. Please access these communities from your dashboard.

  • I can’t find my course

    Your courses are on your student dashboard. Log into your account and you will have access to all your courses as well as community pages you can visit.

  • How do I reset my password?

    Go into the login page and select “Lost Your Password?” Enter your email address and select “Reset Password.” If you are logged in to your account, you can change your password by going to your “My Account” page.

  • What to do if the videos are not loading?

    The large majority of the time video issues are browser-specific; for example, it may be that you have a plugin installed that is blocking the videos or your browser may not support the file type you are using. Try using a different browser or an incognito window instead. Sometimes your network may be blocking our video host. You may also need to add the following to your safe list: *.wistia.com, fast.wistia.net, embedwistia-a.akamaihd.net
